This year’s Conference Dinner will be hosted at Andy’s Shin Hinomoto, a much-loved Yurakucho institution located beneath the railway arches near Ginza and Marunouchi.

A Classic Tokyo Izakaya Experience
The IAFOR Tokyo conference programme will bring us together at Andy’s Shin Hinomoto, a long-established izakaya in Yurakucho well known for its fresh seafood and lively atmosphere. Founded in 1946, the restaurant has welcomed generations of Tokyo diners beneath the railway tracks, where office workers, local regulars, and international visitors come together over shared plates, drinks, and conversation.
Locally known as ‘Andy’s”, the restaurant is run by British owner Andy and his Japanese wife, and has become especially well known among international guests looking for an authentic, welcoming introduction to Tokyo’s izakaya culture. Izakaya translates to ‘stay-drink place’, and are Japanese-style taverns where the locals eat, drink, and socialise. Andy’s specialises in fresh seafood selected from the nearby Toyosu Market, classic Japanese dishes, and the energetic atmosphere unique to Yurakucho’s historic dining lanes.
Izakaya are a key part of Japanese social life, where people meet after work or with friends to share food, drinks, and conversation. Join us after the plenaries to share Japanese dishes, nihonshu, and unwind in the evening the way the locals do.

Tickets for the Conference Dinner are 10000 JPY per person. Your ticket includes a set meal with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Please note that only registered delegates and audience members can attend.
Capacity is limited to 60 guests, so early booking is recommended.
