The Asian Conference on Aging & Gerontology (AGen) is held annually alongside The Asian Conference on the Social Sciences (ACSS) and The Asian Conference on Sustainability, Energy & the Environment (ACSEE).
In 2016 AGen/ACSS/ACSEE attracted 296 attendees representing 32 countries – a truly international event. This diversity serves as a wonderful comparative and contrastive resource.
The majority of AGen/ACSS/ACSEE conference attendees are university faculty, with 43% holding an academic post. At 35% of the total registered delegates, postgraduate and doctoral students make up the next largest group of attendees. The remaining attendees come from the business sector (4%), with 2% registered as "independent" and 16% registered as "other".
